Officiating Opportunities

The Oregon Track Club encourages University of Oregon, officials, to consider additional track and field officiating opportunities. Lane Community College hosts 2-3 meets each spring and Oregon State University has revived its track and field program and hosts 1-2 meets at its facility in Corvallis.

 The need for volunteer officials is even more critical at area high schools. Very few of our high schools have adequate numbers of competent certified officials to administer their meets. We who love this sport need to take the lead in upgrading these high school officiating crews.  We owe it to the coaches and athletes who compete at this level.  Most local meets are held mid-week and run from about 3 PM to 6 PM. Please contact the local coaches to offer your much-needed services. We are sure your help would be much appreciated.
